Geography
The most outstanding feature of Costa Rica is mountainous scenery, tourists always find at the horizon of Costa Rica a beautiful mountain, the reason for this is our mountain system extending from the northeast to the southeast.
Volcanic ridges, such as Guanacaste and Cordillera Central, are separated by deep valleys and mountains. The Cordillera de Talamanca, which crosses the southeastern region, penetrates to the north of Panama is in this range in which locates the country's highest peak Mount Chirripo with 3.810m of altitude above sea level.
