Monteverde, a paradise of biodiversity
Monteverde Biological Reserve now houses at least 400 species of birds in the highest part of its rainforest, more than 100 species of mammals, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles, and approximately 2,500 species of plants, which make it a true Costa Rican paradise of biodiversity and a wildlife sanctuary in the tropics.
The variety of bird species that inhabit the area, within which we can mention the Quetzal, the bird Campana, the umbrella bird, the Lark and Pavoncillo, make it a paradise for bird lovers.
In Monteverde you can enjoy all the natural beauty thanks to the various tours offered like canopy, the Sky Walk, walking tours and more, all in a humid and cloudy weather that round temperatures between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius. |
